Hello, my name is Eric. My favorite sport is soccer. The topic I will be talking about is soccer. Soccer began around the 6th to 7th centurwly B.C., in ancient Greece. Soccer comes from the game of kicking a ball There is a myth that the Chinese had this game first. Soccer would sometimes be played as military games, in the Roman era. After that, when the Romans invaded Britain, Imrah and Paz Tumi distributed the know

ledge of the game there. This is said to have been the origin of soccer in England. In the 1800s, soccer was -and still is- called football in England. They had to print the rules of the game. As a result, the rules of the game emerged. This was the birth of Association Football (soccer). Soccer was a global craze in 1904 and a council was formed. That became the FIFA . Soccer games were introduced into our country almost 100 years ago at the end of the 19th century. Now, almost all countries play soccer, and it is a very popular sport.

There are many rules in soccer, there is one chief referee and two assistant referees. The Chief referee is the final judge of the game, and checks the game time too. Assistant referees are final judges of the outplay in games. If somebody commits a foul, the Chief referee gives a free kick to the opposing team. Soccer players must play without their hands and arms. If the ball has been kicked outside of the opponent's goal line, they will have a corner kick. If the ball has gone to outside of the touchline, the opponent will have a throwing chance. In addition, if any player makes a foul, the opponent team's player will have a penalty kick. There are many other rules in a soccer game like offsides, tackles, and handles. When the ball goes into the net a point is scored.

There are also many soccer leagues. For example, The England Premier League, Spain Prime ra Liga, Germany Bundes liga, and Italy Serie A. Among the many soccer teams, my favorite team is Real Madrid. There are many soccer competitions as well, like the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, the Asian Cup, Copa America, and UEFA Europa League, etc. UEFA Champions League is very popular, because many of Europe's good teams participate. The FIFA World Cup is the most popular soccer competition. Almost all countries participate in the World Cup. On May 21, 1904, seven European nations, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Spain, and more International countries, founded the Federation Internationale de Football Association, otherwise known as FIFA. They also founded the World Cup.

Korea's football League is called the K League. In 1983, the Korea Professional Football League was founde., The KPFL hosts the professional football league.The semi-pro format of three non professional teams and three professional teams began. In 2004, there were 13 teams. Now, in 2016, there are 12 teams.

In conclusion, There are many good soccer players. A good example of this is Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo who are considered the best in the world. In Korea there are many good soccer players, too. Like Park Ji sung and Son Heung Min. When a player can't play soccer anymore, they finish their athlete's life and go to their hometown or they can be a coach or a supervisor, too. Thank you for listening!
